How
Can You Help?

|
As we embark on our goals to preserve as much open space as possible in Westwood, we will certainly need your help. The Westwood Land Trust needs donations of land, conservation easements, volunteer energy, and your financial contributions to continue our efforts. In 2005 we achieved one of our major goals, the acquisition of the Perry property at the corner of Mill and Hartford Streets in Westwood. This valuable 36 acre property contains beautiful woodlands and rocky outcroppings. The land also blocks development on neighboring properties since the developers who own those properties do not have adequate frontage. The land also provides a gateway to other natural woodlands. Although the fundraising campaign was quite successful, in order to close the deal the Westwood Land Trust had to take out a small loan. Please contribute to help us retire that loan. The Westwood Land Trust is still working vigorously to secure more conservation easements and could always use your help. If you would like to assist with any of these efforts, please contact us.
Thank you!
